CALL 2 ACTION

Make Juneteenth a National Holiday

http://chng.it/bSNwX6wPLc

Hello, I am Opal Lee from Fort Worth, TX and I am 93 years old. I want Juneteenth to be recognized as a national day of observance like Flag Day. Yes, Juneteenth originated in TX, but 46 states now have it as a state day of observance to commemorate the ending of slavery.

JUSTICE 4

AMANI KILDEA

http://chng.it/xZdVzQJ6BY

Amani Kildea was a 20 year old man found hanging in a tree in Morristown, NJ. His death, without investigation, was ruled a suicide. Amani has goals and dreams to be in the FBI or CIA one day. He was set to attend James Madison University in the fall of 2020. You cannot physically hang yourself from a tree. No ladder, no nothing. Let’s reopen this case and get more answers. His life matters.

Breonna Taylor

The Louisville Police Department performed an illegal, drug raid on her home. Not a single officer announced themselves before firing 22 shots, shooting her 8 times & killing her. Not only were the police at the WRONG HOUSE, but the man they were looking for had already been arrested earlier that day.

California Education Reform: Racial History and Social Inequality

http://chng.it/kgSmWmmP5y

We need to start from the ground up. By educating the youth on the issues of racial inequality, injustice and White privilege, they will have the mindset and tools to shape an inclusive society that values all of its members.  I demand the California Department of Education to implement core curriculum about race in our state's K-12 public schools.

Vanessa Guillen

The USA Army in Fort Worth, Texas needs to be accountable for murdered Soldier Vanessa Guillen. Their responsibility is to make sure every Soldier is accounted for. Not only one body has been found but multiple. This is a disgrace, not only to the U.S. families but to the soldiers giving their all for a country that has turned their back on them !

Remove Police from

Moreno Valley Schools

submit a short statement here!

Moreno Valley Unified School District spends over $1.3 million dollars each year on law enforcement, and our school leadership knows there is no data that indicates police in schools generate any positive mental or educational outcomes for the student population. In addition, the data continuously proves that police on school campuses creates more harm to students, especially black students, and students of color.
